Salary: USD 260,000 - 463,000 / annual

Netflix is building out its U.S. Policy Communications function and seeking an experienced communications leader to help establish this newly created team from the ground up. In this Senior Manager role based in Washington, D.C., you will develop and execute strategic media relations and communications campaigns that support Netflix's public policy and regulatory objectives across federal and state levels. You will translate complex policy initiatives into compelling narratives that advance Netflix's business growth and reputation. Working cross-functionally with the Global Affairs, Legal, Marketing, External Affairs, and business teams, you will serve as a trusted advisor and bridge between internal stakeholders and external audiences. Your responsibilities include cultivating relationships with key journalists, publications, broadcasters, and opinion leaders; anticipating and managing reputational risks; and serving as a spokesperson on policy and regulatory matters. The role requires deep expertise in distilling complex concepts into clear, engaging stories within the public policy sphere. You will engage with policymakers and regulatory audiences, leveraging established credibility and media relationships to enhance awareness of Netflix's business and social impact efforts. You must demonstrate excellent judgment, business acumen, and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic, high-stakes environment. You will report to Netflix's Senior Director, Head of U.S. Policy Communications & External Affairs. While the primary focus is U.S. policy communications, you will also be a key stakeholder in global policy communications strategy and campaigns. Required qualifications include a minimum of 10 years in media, corporate, political, government, or agency communications; expertise in public policy and regulatory communications; established credibility and relationships within media; experience engaging policymakers and regulatory audiences; entrepreneurial and adaptable mindset; and strong organizational and strategic execution skills.
