Qumulo is seeking a Senior Manager of Account Management to lead the commercial growth team in a player-coach capacity. You will manage a small team of Account Managers focused on expanding commercial and mid-market customers across the Americas and internationally, while directly carrying your own book of accounts. In this role, you'll shape how the team operates—defining segmentation, coverage models, and the expansion playbook. You'll lead, coach, and develop Account Managers while establishing direct relationships with technical, business, and economic stakeholders at customer organizations. Your responsibilities include building and executing expansion strategy across the team's book (add-on capacity, cross-sell, upsell, new workloads, term extensions), owning team pipeline and forecast with CRM hygiene, and partnering with Customer Success and Renewals Management to convert adoption into qualified commercial pursuits. You'll qualify opportunities, bring in Sales Engineering resources at the right moment, and coach your team on deal strategy, negotiation, and territory planning while modeling the motion in your own accounts. You'll also share renewal accountability for your accounts with Renewals Management. Required qualifications: 4+ years of quota-carrying B2B account management experience with recent personal carry across a book of existing customers, ideally with consumption or usage-based cloud model experience. You should have people-management experience (or be a senior IC who has led sellers) and want a player-coach role. You'll need a track record of growing accounts across a high-volume book (100+ accounts), experience building sales or expansion processes from scratch (segmentation, cadences, playbooks), direct ownership of customer relationships and full sales lifecycle, and experience in shared coverage models alongside Customer Success, Renewals, and Sales Engineering. Bonus: background in cloud infrastructure, data management, or data storage. Qumulo's cloud data platform manages exabytes of the world's most demanding data, unifying files, objects, and every workload across edge, core, and cloud. The company powers mission-critical workloads for 1,100+ customers including AI, HPC simulations, genomics, medical imaging, and media rendering.
