Landline is building decentralized aviation infrastructure that extends airport services beyond traditional boundaries. The company operates Landline Portals and Regional Connect services, enabling passengers in smaller cities to clear security and check bags locally before seamlessly connecting to flights at hub airports. Landline partners with major airlines including American Airlines, Air Canada, and Delta, and collaborates with airports, TSA, CLEAR, and municipal partners across the U.S. and Canada.
As Senior Manager of Marketing & Branding, you will lead the marketing function through the company's next growth phase. This is a full-time, in-house role for a marketing generalist who operates as both strategist and executor—thinking long-term about brand positioning while executing day-to-day passenger acquisition, partnerships, and local market activation. You will report to the Managing Director of Product & Marketing and work cross-functionally to connect marketing strategy to broader company goals.
Key responsibilities include: developing and owning overall marketing and brand strategy balancing near-term passenger acquisition with long-term brand building; building a repeatable local marketing playbook for new route launches and executing it across digital, out-of-home, and earned media; leading passenger acquisition across direct response channels (Google, Meta, etc.) in partnership with agencies; building and managing networks of local and regional partnerships and grassroots initiatives; serving as point of contact for local partners (airports, municipalities, tourism boards); representing Landline with corporate marketing teams at airline partners on co-branded campaigns; building internal cases for marketing investment using data on acquisition and route performance; developing go-to-market plans for new routes, markets, and products; managing outside agencies and freelance resources; overseeing brand identity and creative standards across all passenger touchpoints; building the internal marketing function over time; managing the marketing budget across paid media, agencies, creative tools, and traditional advertising; partnering with leadership to ensure marketing strategy connects to business priorities; and tracking and iterating against key metrics.
You bring 8–10 years of marketing experience with increasing responsibility. You have in-house brand marketing experience focused on customer acquisition and direct response channels, hands-on digital marketing experience (Google, Meta), partnership and grassroots marketing experience, and proven success marketing to localized geographies with city-by-city or market-by-market campaigns. You have developed and implemented marketing strategy for new products, market expansions, or route launches, managed outside agencies across creative and media including out-of-home and earned media/PR, and possess a strategic mindset connecting marketing decisions to broader business goals. You can build data-driven cases for marketing investment and advocate effectively for budget and resources. You are comfortable representing the company externally with corporate marketing counterparts at major partners and operating with the resources and pace of a company between start-up and established. Experience in travel, hospitality, or aviation is a strong plus, as is experience with service-based, locally-operated businesses.
