Karius is a venture-backed clinical metagenomics company advancing diagnostic science for infectious diseases through genomics and AI. The company delivers unprecedented diagnostic insights by detecting microbial cell-free DNA in blood to help physicians make rapid treatment decisions. You will join the Marketing team as Senior Manager, Market Intelligence & Development, reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing. This is a strategic role bridging market research, product development, and commercial execution. Key responsibilities include: - Partner cross-functionally with Product, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Customer Success, UX, and Engineering to develop and execute comprehensive market research plans supporting new product launches and market expansions. - Lead market research studies end-to-end: budget development, project objectives, study design, vendor oversight, data collection, analysis, and interpretation. - Create compelling presentations of market research insights and competitive landscape analysis for Commercial Leadership and the executive team. - Support new product launches by developing go-to-market strategies, soft launches, pilot programs, and customer insight gathering. - Identify KPIs for launch success and assess/communicate progress pre- and post-launch. - Develop commercial materials and sales enablement resources in partnership with the Director of Sales Enablement. - Leverage market knowledge, primary/secondary data, and KPIs to develop forecasts, commercial opportunity assessments, and uncertainty analyses. - Monitor competitive and market landscape, tracking new product launches, key publications, and commercial activities. - Develop and implement a framework for sharing competitive insights across the company with focus on strategic implications. - Assist with sales training and resources to counter competitive threats. You will work at the edge of diagnostic innovation, translating market intelligence into actionable business strategies. Travel up to 10% required. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences or equivalent (advanced degree preferred). Minimum 8 years relevant experience with 3+ years in Sales, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, Market Research, or Strategy Consulting. Proven track record translating market insights into successful business strategies. Strong expertise in market research tools, business intelligence platforms, and Excel. Experience with market modeling, business case development, and sales forecasting preferred. Experience with go-to-market strategies for new product launches including market opportunity analysis, product positioning, messaging, resource creation, customer insight gathering, and project management.
