Eve is an AI-native legal technology platform serving plaintiff law firms. The company has achieved product-market fit with 1000+ law firms, raised $160M from top-tier investors (Spark Capital, A16z, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed), and is growing 2X revenue quarter-over-quarter. The team includes engineers and operators from Scale, Meta, Airbnb, Cruise, Square, and Lyft, collaborating directly with OpenAI and Anthropic on AI workflows for legal work.
You will own the post-sale customer lifecycle for law firms, reporting to the VP of Growth and Monetization. Your scope spans everything that happens after a firm signs: onboarding, product adoption, retention, anti-churn, and expansion. You are measured on retention and expansion metrics—activation rate, product adoption depth, net revenue retention, logo churn, and expansion revenue—not on email sends.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design and own the full customer lifecycle email program: welcome sequences, onboarding tracks (segmented by firm size, practice area, and products purchased), adoption campaigns for Eve Intake/Agents/Auditor, retention programs, early-warning churn plays, and cross-sell/seat-growth motions.
• Write email copy that speaks to attorneys, paralegals, and intake staff at plaintiff firms—busy, skeptical of software, and immune to marketing language. Your emails should teach features through the firm's own cases, not generic capability copy.
• Build segmentation from product usage data, manage the lifecycle stack (campaign tooling, data pipelines, deliverability, sending reputation), and use AI-assisted workflows to scale beyond what one person normally could.
• Partner with Customer Success (who handle high-touch accounts) to ensure scaled outreach and human outreach reinforce each other and never contradict in a customer's inbox.
• Collaborate with the Senior Growth Product Manager on in-product surfaces and experimentation infrastructure.
• Test continuously, report results honestly (including failures), and own net revenue retention and adoption depth as accountability metrics.
Requirements:
• 5+ years in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing, owning customer email programs across the full lifecycle (not just one stage).
• Demonstrated programs at every stage: bring examples of an onboarding sequence you designed, an adoption campaign that moved usage, and a churn or NRR number you moved.
• Strong writing skills; you will be asked to provide email samples you personally wrote.
• Deep hands-on experience with a lifecycle platform (Iterable, Braze, Customer.io, or HubSpot), including the data model and behavior-triggered programs (not just scheduled sends).
• Comfort working directly in product analytics tools like Amplitude, with enough SQL to pull your own segments and cohorts.
• Working knowledge of email deliverability, sending infrastructure, and domain reputation management.
• B2B SaaS experience preferred, especially selling to SMBs or professional services firms, plus comfort building where the playbook doesn't exist yet.
