Mirum Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare disease treatments, seeks a Senior Manager of Global Publications to lead scientific communication and publication strategy. This role manages external publication vendors and oversees the editing and development of medically relevant scientific presentations—including clinical abstracts, posters, and oral presentations—ensuring alignment with Publication Policy Procedures, ICMJE, and GPP3 guidelines. Key responsibilities include reviewing and editing scientific content for congress presentations, managing the publications vendor relationship, implementing publication management systems, and developing scientific training materials (MSL decks, tools, FAQs). You will engage internal and external subject matter experts, manage global publication and scientific communications plans, and work with Medical Communications and Publications Agencies on publication strategies. The role requires operationally executing activities related to scientific medical publications, assisting with Medical Legal and Regulatory (MLR) Committee reviews, and interfacing with external experts (physicians, healthcare professionals) while collaborating with Clinical Research, Compliance, Safety, Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, and Commercial teams. You will present project updates to the Executive Director of MRX/BAP/ZILU GMAT Team, Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, and Mirum Senior Leadership. The position demands strong project management skills, vendor and budget management experience, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and the capacity to navigate competing demands across cross-functional teams. Approximately 30% travel (US and international) is required. Required qualifications: Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience in scientific communication, training, and/or publications planning in a pharmaceutical or agency environment. Demonstrated expertise in developing abstracts, posters, and oral presentations; vendor management; and proficiency with MS Office, Veeva RIM, publication management tools (PubStrat, Datavision), and reference databases (EndNote, PubMed).
