Apollo.io is a leading go-to-market platform trusted by over 500,000 companies globally. Founded in 2015, the company has raised approximately $250 million and is valued at $1.6 billion, backed by top-tier investors including Sequoia Capital and Bain Capital Ventures.
You will serve as a Senior Manager in the Finance & Strategy team, acting as a primary business partner to Apollo's go-to-market organization (Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and RevOps). This is a hands-on, strategic role with direct exposure to the CFO and executive team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as primary Finance & Strategy business partner to the go-to-market organization
- Own the top-line revenue forecast and build deep understanding of supporting operations
- Build and maintain Apollo's long-range plan and scenario models, translating GTM strategy into multi-year growth projections
- Own GTM investment economics: LTV:CAC and payback by segment and channel, paid spend returns, sales capacity and quota coverage, and the bridge from spend and headcount to pipeline and ARR
- Build financial cases for go-to-market investments (new segments, geographies, partnerships, routes to market) and conduct post-mortems on delivery
- Synthesize key takeaways for executive leadership through recurring business reviews, including risks, opportunities, and performance updates
- Partner with Analytics and RevOps on data supporting the forecast
- Collaborate with Corporate Finance on board and investor materials, annual operating planning, and scenario modeling
Apollo grows through two distinct revenue motions—a high-volume self-serve funnel and a rep-driven sales organization—and this role owns the financial view of both. You will be one of two senior GTM finance leads driving Apollo's revenue forecast, long-range plan, and go-to-market investment decisions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or related field, with at least 2+ years in a finance role at a high-growth company
- Sharp problem solver who can cut through ambiguity and connect dots between data, strategy, and execution
- Strong analytical skills with high comfort building bespoke financial models and communicating insights to senior stakeholders
- Deep understanding of SaaS revenue and go-to-market economics (ARR build, retention and expansion, pipeline conversion, sales capacity, CAC payback)
- Experience partnering directly with a sales organization (pipeline, capacity planning, quota coverage, rep productivity)
- Comfort working directly in data—ability to pull, validate, and defend own numbers
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional partners
- Bonus: Experience spanning both self-serve/product-led and rep-driven sales motions; fluency in SQL and AI tools
