Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. As a Finance Support Specialist, you will serve as an expert on Adyen's platform and financial products, supporting the financial teams of merchants worldwide. You will be the primary point of contact for merchants and internal commercial teams addressing finance-related issues including financial reporting, reconciliation, payouts, and payment settlements. Your responsibilities include: • Provide reactive and proactive support to merchants and commercial teams via email and phone, addressing financial product questions and operational challenges • Educate and advise merchants' financial teams on maximizing value from Adyen's platform, products, and features • Analyze merchant pain points and collaborate with Finance, Product, and Development teams to improve existing products or build new solutions • Work across time zones using a follow-the-sun operational model to support a 24/7 business • Partner closely with Finance teams, Product, Account Management, Development, and other internal stakeholders You will be part of an international, merchant-focused team with diverse backgrounds. The role emphasizes deep knowledge of financial products and banking processes underlying payments. The position is based in Amsterdam with a hybrid arrangement: 3 days per week in office, 2 days working from home. Adyen is an office-first company that values in-person collaboration. REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum 2 years of experience with exposure to payments or financial topics • Strong finance and analytical skills with ability to quickly learn internal accounting systems • Strong communication skills and comfort with direct merchant interaction • Ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure and prioritize based on urgency and necessity • Demonstrated track record of successfully navigating uncertain environments and managing ambiguity • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Finance or Economics educational background, or equivalent work experience
