GoFundMe is seeking a Senior Manager of Content Marketing to lead the content strategy and team for GoFundMe Pro, focusing on the nonprofit audience. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on editorial work.
You will own the nonprofit content strategy across the Global Go To Market organization, collaborating with Events and Comms teams. You'll develop and maintain a clear editorial point of view—defining what the brand covers, how it's covered, and why. The role requires staying attuned to cultural and industry moments, moving quickly to insert GoFundMe's voice into relevant conversations while avoiding those that don't align with brand values.
Key responsibilities include:
**Content Strategy & Calendar**: Lead nonprofit content strategy, develop editorial POV, maintain the content calendar end-to-end, and align content with product launches and marketing goals. Balance thought leadership that builds brand authority with pieces that connect to pipeline, tracking performance to both.
**Writing & Editorial Leadership**: Write and edit high-visibility content yourself—flagship pieces and cornerstone articles where editorial authority is critical. Set the editorial bar for the team through review and feedback.
**Team Building & Mentorship**: Lead and grow a team of writers, providing creative direction and mentorship. Build processes and infrastructure (briefing templates, editorial workflows, review cycles) that enable the team to move fast without sacrificing quality.
**Performance & Iteration**: Track content performance across organic traffic, engagement, pipeline influence, and audience growth. Use data to refine strategy, understand why pieces underperform, and bring perspective to channel strategy and content repurposing.
You bring 10+ years of B2B content experience, with at least 3 years in team leadership or senior editorial roles. Your portfolio demonstrates thought leadership, long-form writing, and distinctive voice. You've built or significantly scaled a content function. You have strong editorial instincts, comfort with performance analysis, and experience with SEO, content distribution, and pipeline-connected content strategy in SaaS environments.
