FullStory, a behavioral data platform, is seeking a Senior Manager of Content and Communications to lead the company's content and communications strategy. Reporting to the VP of Brand, you will develop and execute integrated content strategy that connects FullStory's positioning and business priorities to audience needs. This is a hands-on role spanning content strategy, editorial leadership, and public relations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing integrated content and communications strategy with clear editorial calendar, distribution plan, and success metrics that align with business priorities and audience interests.
- Creating compelling content across multiple formats—original research, thought leadership, customer stories, campaign assets, and interactive experiences—in partnership with subject matter experts and creative teams.
- Serving as editor-in-chief, writing and editing high-priority work, validating claims, and establishing editorial standards that ensure accurate, distinctive, on-brand content.
- Driving public relations and executive communications in partnership with external PR agency (Matter Communications), developing story angles, managing media outreach, and coordinating executive perspectives.
- Building reusable AI skills and workflows (using Claude) to help colleagues research, draft, edit, and repurpose content efficiently while maintaining brand standards.
- Coordinating priorities across Brand, Campaigns, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Sales, and Customer Success; directing freelance creators and agency partners; and using performance data to guide strategy.
You will manage external communications channels, shape executive perspectives, develop announcements and media pitches, and work with executives and journalists to amplify distribution. You'll lead editorial work across internal teams and external partners, providing actionable feedback, resolving competing priorities, and maintaining high standards and deadlines.
Within 6 months, you will establish a shared content and communications plan with demand generation, define clear editorial standards, create dependable publishing rhythms, and launch reusable AI workflows and interactive content that demonstrates improved quality and usefulness.
Requirements:
- Portfolio demonstrating strong writing and editing skills, distinctive point of view, and ability to translate complex technology or business topics into clear, credible stories for diverse audiences.
- Proven experience owning content strategy end-to-end, including setting priorities, developing and distributing content across channels, and demonstrating measurable impact on audience growth, engagement, or business outcomes.
- Experience managing external communications channels, including shaping executive perspectives, developing announcements and media pitches, and working with executives, journalists, or PR partners.
- Practical AI experience beyond basic drafting—such as building reusable skills or workflows adopted by colleagues, or creating interactive content with Claude Code or comparable tools; ability to explain your contribution, evaluate output quality, and demonstrate improvements.
- Experience leading editorial work across teams and external partners, including providing actionable feedback, managing competing priorities, and helping contributors meet high standards and deadlines.
