Arc is electrifying the marine industry by rethinking powertrains, software, and vessel designs from first principles. The company has proven core technology, is scaling production of its flagship consumer model, and is now extending its platform to commercial applications including tugs, ferries, and defense vessels with signed contracts and a robust pipeline.
As Senior Manager of Commercial Revenue, you will own business development and sales strategy for Arc's commercial business segment. You will build and lead a team of Commercial Sales Managers and Business Development Managers, setting performance expectations, conducting regular coaching, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing commercial sales strategy across fleet operators, municipalities, port authorities, and maritime operators; setting and delivering against team and individual sales goals; creating sales playbooks tailored to the marine electrification market; forecasting demand with precision; and maintaining pipeline visibility for leadership.
You will personally engage with key strategic accounts—operators, fleet managers, and shipyards—to drive enterprise-level relationships. You'll guide your team in deriving vessel requirements and iterating through architecture concepts with customers, develop relationships with shipyards for construction estimation, and collaborate with internal grants teams to secure capital for projects at scale.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential: you'll partner with engineering on vessel architecture and product roadmap alignment, work with finance and operations on pricing strategies and contract management, and serve as the voice of the commercial customer internally, synthesizing market feedback to inform product and strategy.
Minimum qualifications: 8+ years in commercial sales, business development, or partnerships with at least 3 years managing sales teams. Demonstrated track record of building high-performing sales organizations and exceeding revenue targets. Strong ability to hire, coach, and develop talent. Proficiency in multi-stakeholder communication, project estimation, and technical discussion. Ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and financial reports. Experience with complex pricing strategies, discovery, and enterprise contract negotiation.
Bonus qualifications include familiarity with the marine industry or maritime construction, experience selling to fleet operators or municipalities, knowledge of grant-funded capital programs in transportation or clean energy, and enthusiasm for boating.
