Zscaler is seeking a Senior Manager of AMS Benefits Operations to own end-to-end operational delivery of the company's Americas benefits and leave programs. Reporting to the Director of People Services & Global Process Excellence, this hybrid role (based in Santa Clara, CA or Bellevue, WA, with remote US flexibility) brings dedicated ownership to benefits administration, leave of absence management, and operational excellence across the organization. You will own the full lifecycle of benefits operations including carrier and third-party administrator (TPA) management, employee experience, compliance, and HRIS data integrity. You'll serve as the primary operational interface between the Benefits Center of Excellence, Payroll, HRIS, Legal, and People Services teams, driving cross-functional alignment and resolving operational gaps. A key responsibility is managing the complete leave of absence (LOA) lifecycle in partnership with LOA vendors, from intake through return-to-work, ensuring compliance and exceptional employee experience. You will manage, develop, and retain a team of benefits and leave specialists, setting clear expectations, building development plans, and modeling AI-native ways of working. You'll own vendor relationships with AMS carriers, brokers, and TPAs, holding partners accountable to service-level agreements and driving process automation. The role emphasizes leveraging AI tools to eliminate manual overhead and optimize support across all functions. Success in this role requires thriving in ambiguity, acting with full ownership accountability, thinking at scale to design durable systems, and actively seeking AI tools to streamline workflows. You should be a high-trust collaborator who builds strong cross-functional partnerships and fosters candor and mutual development. Minimum qualifications include 7+ years of benefits and LOA experience with at least 3 years in direct people management, deep knowledge of US health and welfare benefits and LOA administration, proven track record of operational improvement in maturing functions, and strong systems fluency with TPA/carrier relationship management. Preferred qualifications include experience in high-growth technology companies, exposure to Canada and LATAM leave/benefits programs, and end-to-end open enrollment leadership.
