Remote is a global HR platform enabling businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly across 80+ countries. The Senior Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions role is a critical customer-facing position within the Lifecycle team, responsible for managing employee exits and providing first-level employee relations support to Remote's external clients.
Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end employee offboarding across multiple international jurisdictions with a focus on legal compliance and superior customer experience. The specialist will provide expert guidance on HR matters including terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, and redundancy processes. You will lead and facilitate meetings with clients and employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and separation negotiations, while balancing competing stakeholder interests.
The role requires liaising with internal and external stakeholders—payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions—to ensure compliance in offboarding activities and audits. You will draft, tailor, and administer termination documents with meticulous attention to detail while maintaining strict privacy and confidentiality standards. Processing offboarding through Remote's HRIS platform involves collaboration across Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time & Attendance teams.
Additionally, you will serve as subject-matter expert on offboarding matters, conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identify applicable local regulations, and support clients in understanding progressive disciplinary approaches. The role includes monitoring ongoing employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow-up, and actively identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation, and product development. This is a fully remote position based in the EU, offering the chance to shape the future of global employment compliance while working asynchronously with a distributed team across six continents.
