Remote is a global HR platform enabling businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly across 80+ countries. The Senior Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as an extension of clients' HR departments.
Key responsibilities include managing complex, end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions with minimal supervision. The specialist independently handles terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, and redundancy processes while ensuring legal compliance and delivering superior customer experiences. This includes leading and facilitating meetings with clients and external employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and separation negotiations.
The role requires deep expertise in key jurisdictions and the ability to influence positive outcomes in complicated terminations by navigating multiple stakeholders with competing interests. The specialist drafts, tailors, and administers termination documents with precision, maintains employee records with strict privacy adherence, and processes offboarding through Remote's HRIS platform while coordinating with payroll, legal, benefits, and other internal teams.
Beyond offboarding, the specialist provides first-level employee relations support, conducting preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying applicable regulations, and guiding clients through progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements. The role includes mentoring junior team members and driving process improvements aligned with Remote's strategic goals.
This is a fully remote position with a global scope, ideal for an experienced HR professional with expertise in international employment law, employee relations, and the ability to manage sensitive, high-stakes situations with judgment and discretion.
