Superhuman (formerly Grammarly) is seeking a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join the Lifecycle Conversion team. This role focuses on converting 40M+ free Grammarly users into paying customers through experimentation, data-driven personalization, and AI decisioning. You will drive millions of dollars in directly attributable revenue annually by delivering relevant, 1:1 upsell experiences at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive net new bookings from the free Grammarly audience and build programs that convert free users into paying customers
- Match offer levers (discounts, free trials, suite purchases, full-price upgrades) to the user segments they convert best
- Run an experimentation roadmap with clear hypotheses, proper sizing, and holdouts tied to measurable business outcomes
- Shape channel strategy across email, in-product messaging, and push notifications
- Own AI decisioning partnerships with internal teams and Hightouch to drive incremental revenue through personalized upsell experiences
- Leverage behavioral, product-usage, and lifecycle data to design relevant upsell programs
- Lead international and multilingual growth efforts, partnering with the Internationalization team on expansion outside the US and among multilingual users
- Drive cross-product monetization across the Superhuman suite (Grammarly, Go, Coda, Mail)
- Lead cross-functional partners you don't directly manage with clear, concise communication
The role offers access to well-resourced teams including Marketing Operations, Data Science, Brand, and Creative. You'll work with one of the most widely recognized lifecycle programs in tech, backed by rich behavioral and product-usage data for personalization.
The company operates a hybrid model with flexibility to work remotely, though you may be expected to travel for scheduled team collaboration weeks. Managers determine in-person time based on business needs.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing at a freemium or PLG subscription company, with a proven record of driving incremental revenue
- Hands-on experience running statistically sound A/B tests using power analyses, holdouts, and best practices
- Track record of identifying business opportunities, running experiments to influence metrics, and analyzing results to make data-driven decisions
- Hands-on experience building lifecycle programs with measurable impact on business metrics (retention, LTV, revenue) beyond channel metrics
- Deep knowledge of email and in-product messaging; working knowledge of push notifications
- Fluency with data—ability to run your own analyses to build business cases or size opportunities
- Experience with modern marketing tools (Braze, Hightouch, Iterable) and familiarity with supplementary tools like Statsig, Databricks, and Figma
- Clear, concise writing skills and comfort leading cross-functional partners without direct management authority
- Experience using AI to improve workflow
- Bonus: Experience running AI decisioning, generative copy, or dynamic content programs
