Braze is seeking a Senior Lead Systems Engineer to architect and build the next generation of enterprise technology through automation, software engineering, AI, and intelligent integrations. This role focuses on designing scalable solutions that connect critical business systems while modernizing how employees interact with IT through conversational experiences, automation, and self-service capabilities. You will lead complex technical initiatives from concept through delivery, building integrations across platforms including Slack, Okta, Workday, Atlassian, GitHub, and Google Workspace. You'll partner closely with Security, Infrastructure, Product, and IT teams to create reliable, scalable solutions that reduce operational overhead and improve employee experience. Key responsibilities include: - Design and implement intelligent automation that streamlines business processes across enterprise platforms, leveraging AI, agentic workflows, and modern integration patterns to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency - Develop scalable integrations across SaaS applications, building APIs, middleware, and event-driven workflows that create seamless employee experiences - Evolve how employees interact with IT by building conversational interfaces and self-service experiences that reduce reliance on traditional ticket-based workflows - Design resilient enterprise platform architecture solutions that improve how systems communicate and operate together, with focus on maintainability and extensibility - Evaluate, pilot, and implement emerging AI technologies, large language models, MCP integrations, and agent frameworks while establishing best practices for responsible adoption - Build reusable automation frameworks, integration services, and internal tooling that accelerate delivery and reduce operational toil - Partner with Security, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams to ensure solutions meet governance requirements while maintaining scalability and operational maturity - Research emerging technologies and AI advancements that can improve scalability and create new automation opportunities This role goes beyond traditional systems engineering—you'll solve business problems through software, APIs, automation, and AI while shaping long-term strategy around enterprise integrations and intelligent workflows.
