As Senior International PR Manager, you will develop and execute PR and communications strategies that enhance brand awareness and thought leadership across the UK, Ireland, and other international markets. You will build and maintain relationships with financial and consumer media, leveraging deep knowledge of UK and Irish media landscapes while independently researching and mastering new international media ecosystems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing PR initiatives that ensure consistent media presence across target markets
- Building and maintaining relationships with financial and consumer media contacts
- Traveling to target markets to establish on-the-ground relationships with local media, agencies, and stakeholders
- Creating data-driven narratives and compelling storytelling to engage media contacts
- Drafting and distributing high-quality press releases, media pitches, video scripts, and visual assets tailored to international audiences
- Leading and coordinating external PR agencies to ensure quality output and optimal budget allocation
- Coordinating media activities including briefings and interviews; serving as spokesperson when needed
- Creating and maintaining editorial calendars for consistent planning and execution across communication channels
- Monitoring financial media landscape and competitive activity to identify PR opportunities and manage reputational risks
- Supporting team goal-setting and performance tracking; collaborating with colleagues across levels
The role operates with significant autonomy and wide decision-making latitude. You will think holistically across multiple channels and act as a bridge between headquarters and global audiences. The position is hybrid, with office presence twice weekly (Wednesday is core day).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional PR experience in agency or in-house communications
- Genuinely international background and mindset with strong intercultural competence
- Deep knowledge of UK and Irish media landscape with established network of journalists, editors, and financial commentators
- Proven track record developing and executing PR strategies with measurable results
- Creative storytelling ability with compelling narrative and headline development skills
- Proficiency with multiple content formats: press releases, LinkedIn posts, media pitches, briefing documents, visual/video assets
- Excellent organizational skills managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously
- Results-driven mindset with strong ownership and commitment to high-performance culture
- Composure and effectiveness under pressure, including crisis situations
- Native or professional fluency in English (written and spoken for UK/Irish market)
- Willingness to travel internationally
Nice to have:
- Experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or high-growth tech environments
- Video editing and visual media production skills
- Crisis communication and reputation management experience
- Familiarity with AI-powered communications and content creation tools
- Multilingual capabilities (Polish, Spanish, or Dutch)
