LaunchDarkly, a developer tools platform specializing in feature management and software delivery optimization, is seeking a Senior International Accountant to manage and coordinate international accounting, reporting, and compliance activities for subsidiaries across EMEA, Australia, and India.
The role involves coordinating with foreign entities' local accountants to ensure timely monthly financial reporting and operational activities. Key responsibilities include managing international month-end close across multiple jurisdictions, reviewing subsidiaries' financial packages, preparing intercompany journal entries and reconciliations, and conducting flux analyses. The accountant will review international payments, obtain approvals for bank disbursements, and manage international tax, audit, and regulatory compliance calendars to ensure adherence to local and international accounting regulations.
Additional duties include implementing intercompany and multi-book modules in the accounting system, settling intercompany transactions, supporting international tax structure compliance (including transfer pricing documentation), and maintaining relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities. The role also includes serving as a local community leader for the CFO organization in India, driving team culture and engagement.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in international operations and multi-entity environments. CPA or similar designation is preferred, as is Big 4 or professional services background. Candidates should have experience with cost-plus calculations, NetSuite (preferred), Excel and Google Sheets proficiency, and knowledge of US GAAP, local statutory reporting, and international tax structures. Strong communication skills, time management, attention to detail, and ability to work across regions and time zones in a fast-paced environment are essential.
