Salary: USD 105,000 - 140,000 / annual

The company combines in-house technology with a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes.
As Senior Instructional Designer, you will design and deliver technical training programs that enable Huntress's security analysts, responders, and operational teams to work more effectively. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Technical Training, you will balance content creation (primary focus) with instructor-led facilitation (secondary but important).
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct needs analysis with subject matter experts to identify knowledge gaps and translate them into structured learning solutions
- Design, build, and maintain modular technical learning experiences including self-paced content, live sessions, practice activities, job aids, and role-specific onboarding
- Assess training effectiveness through learner feedback, knowledge validation, and performance signals; refine content based on results
- Coordinate with security subject matter experts to ensure training reflects accurate, current detection and response knowledge
- Deliver instructor-led training in live virtual and onboarding formats when appropriate
- Partner with stakeholders to translate operational realities and product behavior into clear, trusted documentation for practitioners
You will work in a fast-moving environment where programs are still being built. The role requires comfort creating structure independently while also following established processes. You are expected to embed AI genuinely into core workflows, not just occasionally.
Preferred qualifications include 3+ years designing and developing technical training in cybersecurity or similarly complex technical environments, with demonstrated ability to translate security concepts into accessible learning experiences for varied expertise levels. Familiarity with modern training tools, LMS platforms, and the ability to move fluidly between facilitation and content creation are important.
