Veeam Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Senior Inside Systems Engineer to join its Systems Engineering team in Australia/New Zealand. This hybrid role is based in North Sydney and focuses on pre-sales technical support, working closely with inside sales teams to drive customer adoption of Veeam's data protection, cyber resilience, and data intelligence solutions. You will be responsible for positioning Veeam products to partners and end users, managing technical evaluations as the primary technical advisor, and delivering engaging demonstrations of Veeam solutions across web-based and occasional on-site formats. Key responsibilities include implementing and managing Proof of Concepts to closure, providing pre-sales technical expertise, supporting lead generation activities (events, webinars, user groups), and responding to technical queries and RFPs on the Veeam solution stack. You'll act as a technical advisor and advocate, removing technical barriers to sales and helping customers achieve business objectives. Additional duties include providing technical account management for SMB and mid-market customers, tracking activities in Salesforce CRM, collecting and relaying customer feedback to product teams, creating and delivering technical presentations and training to partners and internal teams, and staying current with Veeam product developments and industry trends. Required qualifications include strong pre-sales experience at an IT software vendor or partner, technical familiarity with Veeam Data Cloud and Data Platform technologies, proven experience with virtualization and cloud-native technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, Azure), and familiarity with backup, recovery, and data management solutions. You should have a good understanding of AI and cybersecurity concepts, excellent presentation skills across remote and in-person platforms, strong verbal and written communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Professional certifications (VMCE, VCP, Azure, AWS) are highly regarded. A bachelor's degree is preferred, though a combination of education and experience is considered.
