Rillet is an AI-native ERP platform serving accounting and finance teams. The company has raised $200M+ from top-tier investors (Sequoia, a16z, ICONIQ, Bain Capital Ventures) and counts over 600 companies as customers, including Mercor, Scribe, and Function Health, plus partnerships with EY and KPMG. As Rillet's first Senior HR Business Partner, you will be the strategic people partner to leaders across all functions as the company scales past 200 employees following Series C. This is a high-impact builder role on a lean, systems-oriented People team. Key responsibilities include: - Partner with functional leaders on org design, headcount planning, leveling, and team structure - Coach managers through feedback, performance, team dynamics, and difficult conversations - Own employee relations end-to-end, including investigations, performance improvement, and separations in coordination with legal counsel - Run performance and compensation cycles from calibration through communication in partnership with People Ops - Turn people data into decisions and build scalable playbooks - Leverage AI to automate repeatable People work, freeing your time for judgment, coaching, and strategy You bring 7+ years as an HRBP or People Partner in high-growth environments, with proven experience scaling through the 150–500 employee range. You have deep employee relations expertise and multi-state US employment fluency (international experience is a plus). You've independently run performance and compensation cycles, not just supported them. Leaders trust you quickly, and you're direct with them—comfortable saying no when needed. You're data-fluent and already use AI tools to automate your own work. Communication precision is a hallmark: whether Slack, comp explanations, or hard conversations, you're clear and thoughtful. Rillet's culture emphasizes extreme speed, agency, and flexibility. People who thrive here internalize the mission, design strategy, and deliver results better and faster than expected. The work is customer-centric and mission-driven. The company combines deep accounting expertise with AI-native software speed and creativity. Work arrangement: in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays plus one additional flexible day. Candidates should be within commutable distance of NYC or San Francisco offices, or willing to relocate.
