Join Flix's People & Organization Digital Transformation team as a Senior HR Tech Business Analyst to optimize how global HR processes and technology work together. This is a hands-on role bridging HR operations and the internal Workday technology team, combining strong HR domain expertise with practical Workday knowledge to simplify processes, improve data quality, and enable greater self-service across the global organization.
You will support day-to-day Workday tech requests, lead process gap analysis and redesign, and translate HR requirements into feasible solutions in close partnership with the Workday tech team. The role reports to the Head of Digital Transformation and works closely with People Operations, People Partners, process owners, the internal Workday technology team, FlixTech, and other stakeholders globally. Given the global scope, regular collaboration with colleagues across European, APAC, and US time zones is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Workday process optimization across the hire-to-retire lifecycle, conducting as-is/to-be gap analyses, challenging existing ways of working, and designing scalable HR processes including employee and manager self-service in partnership with process owners and the Workday technology team.
- Perform hands-on Workday operational activities within an approved access and governance framework, including organizational and position management, job requisitions, security assignments, data corrections, approved EIB uploads, bulk data maintenance, and support other HRIS maintenance and changes.
- Translate business needs into Workday tech requirements, leveraging knowledge of Core HCM, Business Process Framework, security, reporting, and system capabilities to develop functional specifications, process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria for technical implementation.
- Drive business-side delivery of HRIS improvements, partnering with the Workday Tech team on configuration and security while coordinating testing, UAT, release readiness, documentation, change management, Workday user trainings, and adoption.
- Define integration needs from the business side, capturing which data needs to flow between Workday and surrounding systems, when and why, to remove manual work for HR. Specify requirements and data mappings, and align with the Workday Tech team.
- Improve HR data quality and governance by defining validation rules, monitoring data integrity, coordinating clean-up activities, and identifying opportunities to reduce manual work through integrations and automation.
This is not a traditional HRIS business analyst role. You will combine hands-on Workday expertise with business process transformation, helping HR teams move faster, reduce manual work, and make better use of technology. You'll play a key role in shaping how HR processes are optimized, automated, and adopted across Flix's global organization.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Workday or HR technology transformation, with deep practical knowledge of global hire-to-retire processes and the challenges faced by HR operational teams.
- Strong hands-on Workday HCM expertise, including Core HCM, organizational structures, staffing models, Business Process Framework, security concepts, reporting, EIBs, and day-to-day HRIS support. Workday Pro or relevant Workday certifications are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in Workday optimization and business process redesign, including as-is/to-be analysis, requirements engineering, employee/manager self-service, functional specifications, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong understanding of Workday security, governance, and data management, including role-based access, domain and BP security concepts, audit trails, data validation, GDPR, and segregation of duties.
- Hands-on experience with the Atlassian ecosystem, including Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Rovo, with the ability to manage requirements, workflows, service delivery, and automation opportunities.
- Practical experience with automation, scripting, and how HR systems talk to each other, including Python, n8n, UiPath, REST APIs, webhooks, MCPs, or custom connectors, and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical integration specialists.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to challenge existing processes constructively, facilitate workshops, drive self-service change management, and work across global HR and technology teams.
