Remote is a global HR platform enabling businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly across 80+ countries. The Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as an extension of clients' HR departments. The specialist manages end-to-end employee offboarding and exits across multiple international jurisdictions, with a focus on legal compliance and exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include: **Offboarding & Employee Exits:** Manage complex employee separations across different countries, ensuring adherence to local employment laws and regulations. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and employees regarding terminations, resignations, transfers, and redundancy processes. Draft and administer termination documents with precision, maintaining strict confidentiality and privacy compliance. Coordinate with internal teams (payroll, legal, benefits, time & attendance) and external stakeholders (government bodies, trade unions, legal counsel) to ensure proper administration of exits. **Employee Relations Support:** Provide first-level guidance on workplace concerns, conduct preliminary assessments of employee relations matters, and identify applicable local regulations. Support clients in understanding progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements. Monitor ongoing cases and coordinate follow-up with relevant stakeholders. **Stakeholder Management:** Negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations, balancing competing interests. Serve as subject-matter expert on offboarding matters, responding to internal and external queries. Navigate clients through Remote's Employee Relations resources and policies. **Process Improvement:** Actively identify and contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and product development to enhance customer and employee experience. The role requires expertise in international employment law, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism. You'll work asynchronously with a distributed team across multiple continents, leveraging automation and AI capabilities in your daily work.
