Chainalysis is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to serve as the primary people operations partner for its APAC and UAE presence, based in Singapore. This high-autonomy role supports teams across Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and the UAE, acting as a trusted advisor to regional managers on employment matters, compliance, and people operations.
Key responsibilities include: serving as the go-to people advisor for managers across the region, providing guidance on local employment practices and sensitive employee matters; owning comprehensive leave administration including statutory entitlements and jurisdiction-specific requirements; coordinating regional benefits renewals with local vendors and brokers; providing immigration support for APAC and UAE employees; supporting employee relations and offboarding processes; proactively identifying compliance gaps and recommending solutions; collaborating with the global People Team to ensure consistency while adapting for local requirements; and contributing to cross-functional people initiatives.
Required qualifications: 5+ years as an HR Generalist or People Operations professional with multi-jurisdictional APAC experience; strong knowledge of Singapore employment law; demonstrated experience navigating regulations in at least one additional APAC market (South Korea, Japan, Australia, or UAE); proven ability to advise managers on nuanced people matters; excellent cross-cultural communication skills; strong organizational abilities in fast-paced environments; experience with HRIS systems such as Workday and payroll coordination; and ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
Nice-to-have experience includes knowledge of employment law across multiple APAC+UAE jurisdictions, background in fast-growing technology or crypto/blockchain companies, experience supporting remote and distributed teams, familiarity with APAC immigration processes, and relevant HR certifications (IHRP, SHRM, or equivalent).
The role uses Workday and Envoy (immigration) systems. This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship.
