In this Senior Golang Engineer role, you will drive technical excellence across the team's software and infrastructure initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and mentor software and infrastructure engineers developing proprietary payment routing algorithms
- Maintain strict uptime (99.99%) and latency (<100ms) requirements while ensuring API response accuracy
- Collaborate with data scientists to refine platform algorithms and improve payment success rates
- Participate in hiring and developing team members
- Manage incident response and post-incident investigations; participate in on-call rotations
- Make architectural decisions balancing long-term vision with pragmatism, avoiding over-engineering
- Establish and enforce high standards for code quality, infrastructure, and documentation
- Design, develop, and deliver new product features
You bring expert-level Golang proficiency and deep experience designing large-scale, high-throughput, highly available systems. You have strong AWS knowledge, understand microservice architectures, and are proficient with HTTP and gRPC. You excel at CI/CD workflows, communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, and thrive in fast-paced environments. You're adaptable to new technologies and understand the business stakes of technical decisions.
