Maven AGI is an enterprise AI platform transforming customer support with production-grade AI agents. Founded in July 2023 by executives from HubSpot, Google, and Stripe, the company builds conversational AI that helps enterprise teams deliver accurate, autonomous support at scale. As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own post-sale technical implementation for strategic enterprise customers. This is a hands-on builder role where you work directly with customer teams to turn customer experience workflows into production AI systems. Key responsibilities include: - Own post-sale implementation workstreams from kickoff through production launch and early customer success - Translate customer experience workflows into concrete technical plans, milestones, and launch criteria - Build and debug integrations across CRMs, ticketing platforms, CCaaS tools, knowledge bases, data warehouses, and internal APIs - Configure and extend Maven using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, APIs, webhooks, and the Maven SDK - Prototype quickly when requirements are ambiguous, then turn the right parts into reliable production implementation - Design and run tests and evals for AI behavior, including answer quality, retrieval quality, action correctness, and escalation behavior - Set up launch readiness plans across testing, observability, logging, fallback behavior, and rollback paths - Partner with Product and Engineering when field work reveals platform gaps or reusable patterns - Communicate clearly with customer operators, technical teams, executives, and internal teams You bring 5+ years of software engineering, implementation engineering, forward deployed engineering, or equivalent customer-facing technical delivery experience. You have strong hands-on coding ability in JavaScript/Node.js, with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Python as strong pluses. You understand APIs, integrations, REST, webhooks, auth, data mapping, and operational debugging. You have experience taking complex customer-facing technical projects from ambiguous requirements into production and are comfortable working directly with customers, asking discovery questions, and pushing back constructively on scope and timeline. You have practical understanding of AI/LLM and agentic systems, including prompting, retrieval, tool/action use, evals, failure modes, and quality measurement. Strong written and verbal communication is essential—you can write implementation plans, technical memos, customer updates, and launch checklists. You demonstrate high ownership, identifying the next useful step, making progress, and keeping customers and teams aligned. Nice-to-have experience includes customer support systems (Salesforce Service Cloud, Zendesk, ServiceNow, Intercom), CCaaS or voice platforms (Genesys, Five9, NICE, Twilio, Amazon Connect), data integration tools (Workato, Airbyte, Fivetran), observability and CI/CD practices, and knowledge of security and compliance (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).
