AssemblyAI is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join the Success team and drive customer outcomes with our Voice AI platform. You'll serve as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of customers, helping them integrate AssemblyAI's voice AI models into their products and realize their vision. The role blends technical expertise with customer advocacy—you'll evaluate use cases, lead commercial and technical meetings, manage integrations, and drive API adoption across customer accounts.
Key responsibilities include onboarding new customers, identifying opportunities to expand voice AI integration into their roadmaps, managing asynchronous communication with technical customers, and acting as a thought leader who feeds customer insights back into product strategy. You'll collaborate across Sales, Support, Engineering, Research, and Product to ensure customers maximize value from the platform and are on the right commercial agreement for their needs.
The ideal candidate brings 4+ years in technical account management, solutions architecture, sales engineering, or technical consulting. Preferred technical skills include SQL, Python, React, and web development frameworks; familiarity with AI/ML tools is a strong plus. You should be comfortable wearing multiple hats—part software engineer, part product manager, part account manager, part support—with high energy, strong context-switching ability, and the capacity to manage multiple projects with expansive ownership. A genuine passion for AI technology and the ability to proactively identify real-world customer challenges are essential.
