Komodo Health is building Marmot, an AI-native product that connects healthcare data platforms to enterprise tools. The Forward Deployed Engineering team bridges engineering, product, and revenue by deploying AI solutions into complex healthcare environments.
As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own end-to-end delivery of technically demanding customer engagements—from solution architecture through deployment in customer cloud infrastructure, data systems, and compliance environments. This is a deeply technical role combining production code writing, cloud-native deployment design, integration building, and MCP server development that extends the Komodo platform into customer stacks.
Key responsibilities include translating customer requirements into scalable solutions, designing deployment patterns for isolated customer environments, debugging in unfamiliar infrastructure, and communicating technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will operate with clear ownership: own your work end to end, surface risks early, and balance speed with production rigor.
In your first 90 days, you will learn the Marmot platform end-to-end, ship a customer-facing deliverable (MCP server, integration, or workflow), build relationships with Sales and Solutions Engineering partners, and map technical gaps in your first deployment.
By year-end, you will have led at least one high-complexity deployment in a customer's cloud environment, built production-grade agentic workflows and MCP servers, established yourself as a trusted technical partner to senior stakeholders, contributed reusable deployment patterns to the team playbook, influenced platform architecture decisions based on field experience, and partnered cross-functionally to shape the roadmap.
