Salary: USD 145,000 - 200,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Flight Test Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team, which develops operationally relevant multi-asset autonomy for next-generation autonomous military systems. The role focuses on planning, executing, and reporting on developmental and operational flight Test & Evaluation (T&E) activities for Group 3 Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), working with platforms like Ghost and Altius integrated into Anduril's Lattice OS ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include conducting rigorous testing and evaluation of Group 3 UAS to ensure performance and reliability, deploying to remote test sites within the US and overseas locations, developing and executing focused test plans for internal and customer trials, and implementing baseline safety plans to mitigate risks during testing. You will participate in weekly stand-ups, provide progress reports to program and T&E leadership, and communicate effectively across the organization.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field, 8+ years of experience in UAS integration, testing, and project management, and willingness to travel >75% of the time to remote locations in the US and overseas. You must have a strong understanding of the National Airspace System and UAS regulations, practical experience with large UAS testing and development, familiarity with rotary-wing and fixed-wing aerodynamics and flight control systems, and an FAA Part 107 certificate. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance is required.
Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in engineering, robotics, computer science, or related field, and hands-on experience with complex and autonomous UAS. The role demands strong organizational and documentation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, self-motivation, and flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
