Palmetto is a consumer energy platform helping homeowners discover, purchase, finance, install, monitor and manage home energy products and services including solar, battery storage, HVAC, and heat pumps across 30+ states.
The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will serve as a technofunctional expert bridging business users and IT teams for financial systems. This role focuses on NetSuite, Stampli, Workiva, and related financial systems, with responsibility for documenting enhancements and controls.
Key responsibilities include:
**Technical Systems Expertise**: Lead end-to-end enhancement lifecycle for multiple applications (requirements, design, build, test, deploy). Configure roles, permissions, custom forms, workflows, and scripts. Manage NetSuite subsidiary, location, and entity structure for multi-entity consolidation. Document business requirements from Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders. Standardize requirements for development or external partners. Translate functional needs into configuration specs including saved searches, workflows, custom fields, and custom records.
**IT Controls**: Own and maintain ITGC controls including access controls, change management, and operations controls across all financial systems. Enforce SDLC documentation for development and automation efforts. Perform risk assessment for production changes and ensure BRDs, FSDs, and UAT evidence are archived. Maintain Segregation of Duties (SoD) matrix and review access conflicts quarterly. Act as technical contact for internal and external auditors. Monitor integrations to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
**Process Mapping and Automation**: Build end-to-end process maps across O2C, P2P, R2R and other cycles. Identify high-impact manual tasks and drive automation via workflows and third-party integrations. Design automated approval chains with SoD controls embedded at workflow level. Identify AI-driven capabilities to streamline financial and accounting processes.
**Test Scripts and UAT**: Design and own test script library for NetSuite configurations and customizations. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with business process owners and document sign-off. Ensure defect tracking, retesting, and final approval follow SDLC requirements.
**Master Data Management**: Identify source of truth for key master data. Standardize and govern critical master data including Locations, Subsidiaries, Entities, Chart of Accounts, and Vendors. Ensure data integrity across all systems and integrated downstream systems. Define and enforce naming conventions and data entry standards.
**Program Management**: Lead, facilitate, and drive key initiatives forward while engaging third-party support vendors and internal stakeholders.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite Business Analysis or ERP experience
- Functional expertise across O2C (Order-to-Cash), P2P (Procure-to-Pay), and R2R (Record-to-Report) cycles
- Demonstrated experience authoring BRDs, IDDs and FSDs
- Working knowledge of ITGCs and Application Controls within an integrated ERP environment
- Proficiency with workflow automation, saved searches, reports, dashboards, custom fields, and forms in NetSuite
- Strong understanding of Segregation of Duties (SoD) principles and access control governance
- Ability to perform NetSuite system configuration independently without developer dependency for standard customizations
