Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced technology, AI, autonomy, and sensor fusion. The UK operations are scaling rapidly with a growing portfolio of defence programmes and expanding footprint across Europe and the Middle East.
You will join the Finance & Accounting team at a critical growth moment. This newly created role bridges two essential functions: hands-on programme finance across a live portfolio of contracted customer work, and ground-up build of regional finance capability that does not exist today.
The role has two pillars that will flex with business demand:
**Programme Finance**: Own financial planning and analysis for a portfolio of contracted customer programmes and internal R&D activities within the Air Maneuver business line. This includes day-to-day forecasting, Estimate at Completion (EAC) maintenance, actuals analysis, variance reporting, bid pricing, and business case support across UK and European campaigns.
**Regional Finance Maturity**: Help build the internal management reporting process for the UK, Europe, and Middle East region from scratch—establishing KPIs, creating a monthly close cadence, producing performance narratives for leadership, and putting systems, controls, and automation in place to make it repeatable and scalable.
Key responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day programme finance across a portfolio of contracted customer programmes—EAC maintenance, actuals analysis, variance narrative, and monthly financial reporting
- Be an effective finance business partner to cross-functional programme teams
- Build and maintain programme forecast models and support the divisional forecast cycle
- Support financial activities for UK-specific IRAD (Internal Research & Development) programmes
- Build and operate the regional internal management P&L reporting process from scratch, covering UK, Europe, and the Middle East; establish the monthly close and associated reporting timetable
- Define and maintain regional performance KPIs; produce first-draft performance narrative each period—actuals, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions—bringing P&L and balance sheet views together with base case, upside, and downside scenarios
- Own the monthly data pulls from Foundry and Oracle EPM; build the controls and automation that make the reporting cycle repeatable rather than manual; reconcile management reporting back to the statutory ledger and document the process and its controls
- Interface with international accounting managers on statutory, tax, and audit requirements; support the UK leadership team and Global Defence & Growth Operations
This is not a role where you inherit a playbook or sit within a large established team. You will be creating structure, defining processes, and shaping how finance operates in a fast-growing defence technology company.
**Requirements:**
- ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent chartered qualification)
- 3+ years of post-qualified experience across a broad range of finance disciplines—not someone who has done the same narrow role repeatedly
- Programme finance experience including percentage-of-completion (PoC) revenue recognition and Estimates at Completion (EACs)
- Experience setting up finance processes from scratch or materially redesigning how things are done
- Advanced Excel and Power Query skills—you build data-connected models, not just spreadsheets
- Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally Oracle
- Strong PowerPoint skills for executive-level reporting and storytelling
- Comfortable with AI tools and finding ways to automate manual work
- SC clearance eligible (or willing to obtain)
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Aerospace and defence finance experience
- Experience with programme finance including EAC management, PoC accounting, and IRAD cost tracking
- Prior experience in a scaling or start-up environment where finance infrastructure was being built for the first time
- Familiarity with Foundry or similar data platforms
- Exposure to international or multi-region financial reporting
