Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations to harness IoT data for actionable insights across physical operations including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.
You will partner with Samsara's R&D organization to manage Cloud, Cellular, and AI infrastructure costs, driving quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify cost optimization opportunities. Key responsibilities include:
• Partner closely with Software and Firmware Engineering leaders to manage vendor spend across cloud, cellular, and AI infrastructure
• Analyze financial results and prepare monthly/quarterly management reporting for R&D and Finance leadership
• Support month-end close activities, cost classification, and accounting coordination
• Collaborate with R&D teams on Annual Operating Plan (AOP) planning and forecasting
• Build and improve financial reporting and forecasting models for accuracy and scalability
• Develop new KPIs and analysis mechanisms to inspect business performance
• Leverage AI tools to streamline financial workflows and ad hoc analysis
• Champion Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales globally
