Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Director of Finance to lead financial operations for the Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) division, one of the company's largest and fastest-growing business units. This is a high-visibility role responsible for owning the P&L for Anduril's Autonomous Air Power business line. You will lead and develop a high-powered finance team while partnering with business leaders to drive product and program profitability. The role operates at both strategic and operational levels: architecting sustainable financial models, shaping capital allocation, and embedding with division leaders to drive day-to-day financial rigor. Key responsibilities include: - Daily partnership with senior AD&S leaders to provide financial expertise and support - Managing financial forecasting, budgeting, and business line/product/program-level financial reporting - Owning financial oversight and management for a portfolio of large, complex, mission-critical programs - Building and scaling a dedicated finance team through talent development and implementation of best practices - Leading development of executive-level reporting and presenting financial insights to senior management - Analyzing financial performance by comparing actual results with forecasts and investigating variances - Collaborating with senior leadership to identify and implement improvements to business performance and finance systems - Creating bottoms-up, data-driven models to understand segmentation, pricing optimization, scenarios, and financial returns - Owning performance dashboards and KPI alerting; assessing impact of financial decisions on key metrics - Developing relationships with internal and external customers; overseeing customer program reporting, invoicing, and monthly financial status reporting AD&S is reshaping peer-to-peer conflict capabilities through next-generation collaborative combat aircraft (including the unmanned fighter jet Fury), advanced effects (such as the air-breathing cruise missile Barracuda), and autonomy software. The division is responsible for taking products from concept to full-rate production at scale and developing Lattice for Mission Autonomy, Anduril's premier software platform enabling autonomous systems collaboration. Note: Per Anduril's expansion plans, this role is anticipated to relocate to Long Beach, CA beginning late 2027. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (CPA, CFA) preferred - 15+ years of finance experience in Big Tech, Defense, Large Manufacturing, or Government contracting, with 3–5 years in a senior leadership position - Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, data analysis tools, and experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM, Anaplan, Foundry) - Demonstrated track record of owning problems end-to-end in a finance function - Intellectually curious with ability to understand the reasoning behind numbers - Highly technical with emphasis on precision and accuracy; ability to rapidly dissect complex quantitative problems - Critical thinker who considers problems from multiple angles to remove bias - Results-oriented with willingness to do whatever it takes to complete the job - Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to drive consensus through grounded arguments, interpersonal skills, and negotiation - Creative problem-solver able to identify obstacles and present viable solutions - Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments - Excited by large breadth of problems - Confidence to execute in highly visible and accountable positions - Must be authorized to work in the United States - Must be security clearance eligible
