Salary: USD 220,800 - 276,000 / annual
Cohesity is seeking a Senior Field Technical Director to serve as an architect-level technical leader for large enterprise customers with demanding data security and management use cases. This role bridges technical strategy and business outcomes, positioning you as the strategic technical authority for assigned accounts.
You will be responsible for deeply understanding customer business and technical requirements across workloads, infrastructure, and operations. You'll translate customer goals into scalable, resilient architectures that leverage Cohesity's data security and management capabilities, then ensure successful implementation and long-term account expansion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as strategic technical leader for assigned accounts, influencing both technical strategy and business outcomes
- Presenting Cohesity technology to customer executives and technical leaders, explaining application across use cases and scenarios
- Conducting discovery workshops to identify business objectives, document use cases/requirements, and operational constraints
- Developing high-level architectural alternatives and delivering written design plans for implementation teams
- Planning and conducting technical demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs) with account teams
- Providing technical information for RFPs/RFIs and reviewing account team proposals
- Liaising with Product Management and Engineering to represent field requirements and resolve issues
- Leading cross-functional teams to address strategic customer challenges
- Mentoring SEs and technical team members to raise technical excellence standards in your region
- Acting as technical escalation point for architectural and design decisions
- Driving results and leading product-focused cross-functional teams
Required qualifications include 15+ years of experience in IT Storage, Backup, Virtualization, Linux CLI, and Cyber-security & Cyber Resilience. Highly desirable skills include Disaster Recovery/Business Continuance, Database Protection and Recovery, Distributed Systems, Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Layer 2 Networking and Firewalls, and Scripting/Automation.
You must have excellent communication and presentation skills, strong written documentation abilities, self-starter mentality with excellent organization, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Up to 60% travel required. Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools is expected. English language proficiency required for professional and specialized settings.
