Kong is seeking a Senior Sales Enablement Manager for the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region to equip the sales team with tools, training, content, and processes needed to drive revenue and meet business goals. This role bridges sales and marketing, improving efficiency and optimizing the buyer's journey in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Key responsibilities include developing and managing comprehensive onboarding programs for new sales hires and providing ongoing training on product offerings, industry trends, and best practices. You will create, curate, and organize sales enablement content including playbooks, case studies, presentations, and competitive battle cards, collaborating closely with marketing to ensure alignment with sales strategy and target audience resonance.
The role involves implementing and managing sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, Gong, Seismic, and Highspot, ensuring seamless integration into sales workflows to maximize productivity. You will monitor and evaluate enablement initiative effectiveness through KPIs such as sales productivity, win rates, and quota attainment, providing actionable insights based on data-driven analysis.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential—you will partner with product, marketing, and customer success teams to align sales strategies with product launches and customer needs, acting as a bridge to ensure consistent messaging throughout the buyer's journey. Additionally, you will standardize sales processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and scalability, identifying and addressing gaps and bottlenecks in the sales process.
Required qualifications include 5+ years in sales enablement, training, or related roles, preferably in SaaS. You must demonstrate proficiency with sales tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong), analytics platforms, and content management systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for creating impactful content and delivering effective training. A data-driven approach, proven ability to work across teams and influence without authority, and deep understanding of the SaaS sales lifecycle are critical. Preferred qualifications include certification in sales training methodologies (Sandler, Challenger, MEDDIC, MEDDPICC), experience managing global sales enablement programs, and knowledge of modern SaaS selling techniques such as product-led growth (PLG).
