The Senior Engagement Principal is the primary owner of successful customer deployments and value delivery, serving as a trusted advisor to senior executives within client organizations.
This is a player-coach role combining project delivery ownership with pre-sales and post-sales responsibilities. You will manage end-to-end customer engagements from initial discovery through implementation, acting as the single point of contact between customers, Aera teams, consultants, and system integrators. Key responsibilities include:
• Serve as supply chain subject matter expert during implementation and pre-sales activities
• Manage project resources, track KPIs, and escalate issues as needed
• Ensure project requirements are understood and delivered on-time per SOW and customer expectations
• Conduct customer workshops, demos, POCs, and formal software evaluations
• Develop proposals and SOWs, estimating and documenting project requirements
• Manage C-level customer engagements and maintain long-term client relationships
• Contribute to sales cycles as a subject matter expert and key decision-maker
• Collaborate with Product and Technical teams to drive product improvements
• Keep customers within project scope and on-task
• Become the "face" of Aera and the product delivery experience
You will work with a global team of over 400 across offices in Mountain View, San Francisco, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Paris, Munich, London, Pune, and Sydney.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 15+ years leading and managing post-sales enterprise software implementation projects
• Outstanding customer-facing skills: communication, project management, relationship building, with deep sense of urgency
• Extensive supply chain knowledge including best practices and metrics across demand, supply, manufacturing, inventory, order management
• Experience with enterprise IT and software: ERP (Oracle, SAP), cloud/SaaS, security, mobile, BI, planning and execution systems
• Familiarity with supply chain and planning software, specifically SAP and best-of-breed solutions (JDA, Kinaxis, etc.)
• Experience with agile project work and scrum methodologies
• Proven ability to write proposals and SOWs
• Proven ability to successfully manage technical team members
• Ability to travel globally
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in Engineering; Master's degree preferred
• Added bonus: experience in pharmaceutical or CPG verticals
