Carv is building AI-powered sensor technology to help skiers improve their technique through real-time feedback and biomechanical data. The company operates a connected wearable sensor product used by over 100,000 skiers globally, combining hardware, firmware, software, and coaching intelligence. You will own the firmware and embedded systems at the core of Carv's sensor platform. This is a firmware-leaning role that spans the full hardware stack—you'll be strong in embedded software while also comfortable reading schematics, bringing up boards, debugging electronics in the lab, and working with production test systems. You do not need to be a PCB layout specialist, but you must be able to debug issues across both electronics and firmware. Key responsibilities include: - Architect, develop, and maintain firmware for Carv's connected sensor systems - Work on low-power, resource-constrained embedded systems using embedded C/C++ - Develop next-generation sensing hardware, including early prototypes, bring-up, validation, and productionization - Debug and optimize sensor performance and power consumption - Collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams to ship features and improvements - Contribute to automated test equipment and internal diagnostic tools You'll work on a product used by a large, engaged user base and have the opportunity to shape the technical direction of Carv's embedded platform.
