Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Imaging team develops state-of-the-art infrared imaging systems deployed to address critical security challenges. This role focuses on implementing and deploying core real-time image processing software for infrared imaging systems on embedded, SWAP-limited hardware.
You will work on real-time, high-bandwidth processing pipelines in C++ and/or CUDA, configure and develop Linux-based embedded systems, and become an expert in NixOS for embedded system implementation. Key responsibilities include gaining deep understanding of infrared sensor systems and existing image processing software, defining and implementing test and simulation environments with both software and hardware-in-the-loop methodologies, and supporting end-to-end system delivery from design through manufacturing, deployment, and sustainment.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of professional C++ software development with GIT, JIRA, and CI/CD experience; expertise developing low-latency, high-throughput software on Linux systems; experience testing and debugging firmware on hardware platforms; knowledge of software infrastructure fundamentals including networking, security, and distributed systems; ability to quickly learn new technologies; strong technical communication and documentation skills; and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include experience configuring Linux operating systems and Linux kernel development, proficiency with multiple programming languages (C, Rust, Python), familiarity with graphics programming or image processing, and additional relevant embedded systems experience.
