As a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer, you will own hardware design from initial requirements through full production handoff. You'll work on mechanical designs involving tight integration of complex thermal solutions, RF hardware, PCBAs, and cabling systems. The role emphasizes rapid prototyping to identify issues quickly and deliver final products on compressed timelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning hardware design lifecycle from requirements through production
- Developing mechanical designs with integrated thermal, RF, and electronic components
- Rapid prototyping and iterative problem-solving
- Supporting customer-facing hardware demonstrations and translating customer requirements into design specifications
- Traveling to test sites as needed
Required qualifications: 5+ years of professional mechanical design experience, BSME/MS/PhD in related engineering field, hands-on fabrication skills, proficiency with CAD (any platform), ability to create high-quality engineering drawings to industry standards, demonstrated competence with engineering first principles, experience integrating PCBAs and electronics into mechanical systems, and eligibility to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Solidworks/NX/Teamcenter, passive and active thermal management design, EMI constraint design, manufacturing methods (CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, 3D printing), and cross-functional collaboration with electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers.
