ARX Robotics is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and integrate the electrical systems for autonomous ground vehicles (UGVs) used in defense and first-responder missions. This is a hands-on role where you will own the complete electrical architecture—from power distribution and control electronics to payload integration for advanced sensors, manipulators, and communication systems.
You will design robust wiring harnesses and schematics using modern E-CAD tools (EPLAN preferred), with a focus on systems that perform reliably under extreme conditions including shock, vibration, dust, and water intrusion. Your work will span power electronics, sensor/actuator integration, communication interfaces (CAN, Ethernet), and thermal/EMI management. You'll move designs from concept through lab validation and field testing, troubleshooting complex systems at both component and system levels.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in robotics, mechatronics, or complex system design, with deep expertise in power electronics and harsh-environment design. You should be comfortable with detailed electrical schematics, have a hands-on problem-solving mindset, and thrive in cross-disciplinary teams. English fluency is required; German is a plus.
