Rain is a fintech infrastructure company enabling stablecoins for real-world payments globally. The company powers card transactions, cross-border payments, B2B purchases, and remittances through partnerships with fintechs, neobanks, and financial institutions. Backed by top-tier investors including Sapphire Ventures, Norwest, Galaxy Ventures, Lightspeed, and Khosla, Rain operates with a lean, flat organizational structure.
This Senior Director role focuses on managing Rain's most strategic, high-revenue accounts with a white-glove, relationship-driven approach. You will own the full account lifecycle end-to-end: driving expansions and renewals, leading quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and ensuring Rain delivers exceptional partnership value. Operating in a player-coach model, you'll work alongside senior and enterprise account managers while building the enterprise account management playbook from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include embedding directly with strategic partners, owning senior executive relationships, unblocking cross-functional issues by coordinating with internal teams, identifying expansion and upsell opportunities, providing data-driven insights, establishing account health review cadences, and advocating internally for top accounts' needs.
Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in account management, customer success, or strategic partnerships at fintech, payments, or crypto companies. You should have a proven track record managing senior executive relationships (not just day-to-day operations), experience negotiating complex commercial arrangements involving legal, compliance, technical, and executive stakeholders, and comfort operating hands-on without a large team initially. You'll need experience escalating issues effectively, pulling in engineering, product, or compliance resources as needed, and thriving in both large enterprise and startup environments. Bonus experience includes standing up new teams or functions, deep familiarity with stablecoins and cross-border payments infrastructure, and existing networks in fintech and financial infrastructure ecosystems.
Rain offers unlimited time off (10-day minimum), flexible working arrangements, comprehensive health/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) with 4% match, equity options for all employees, monthly wellness stipends, and domestic and international team offsites.
