SoundCloud is seeking a Senior Director of Product Marketing & Market Intelligence to lead a newly built product marketing organization and establish market intelligence as a strategic competitive advantage. Reporting to the Chief Growth & Marketing Officer, you will build and lead a team of product marketers while serving as the strategic bridge across Product, Marketing, Community, Partnerships, and Executive Leadership. In your first year, you'll establish the foundational frameworks that enable SoundCloud to deeply understand its audiences—including jobs-to-be-done analysis, audience intelligence programs, and voice-of-customer initiatives. You'll shape how the company thinks about its creator and fan communities, translating insights into product and business decisions. Key responsibilities include: shaping product and business strategy as a strategic partner to leadership, with influence over consumer narratives, packaging, and monetization decisions; defining positioning across creator, fan, AI, subscription, and monetization experiences in partnership with Brand and Communications teams; leading go-to-market strategy for major product launches, owning audience definition, positioning, launch sequencing, and success metrics; building SoundCloud's market and audience intelligence function to track trends across music, AI, and the creator economy, delivering executive briefings and competitive intelligence; owning creator and fan insight programs, audience segmentation, and feedback loops in partnership with Community; and building a high-performing product marketing organization with modern operating models and elevated strategic influence across the company. You'll need 10+ years of experience in product marketing, product strategy, growth strategy, or consumer/marketplace/platform businesses, with a proven track record of leading product marketing teams and directly influencing product strategy—not just supporting launches. Experience in music, creator platforms, or consumer subscription businesses is valued. You should be comfortable operating in ambiguity, building functions from scratch, and translating market insights into executive-level recommendations.
