Studs is a category-defining ear piercing and earring brand, named one of Fast Company's "10 most innovative companies in retail for 2023." The company connects ear piercing with aftercare and earring shopping to create an integrated "Earscaping" experience, combining retail studios with a digital platform. The Senior Director, Marketing leads the full marketing function and owns the integrated system driving customer acquisition, studio traffic, conversion, retention, and brand equity. This is a pivotal leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, sitting at the center of Studs' commercial engine during a stage of strong brand foundation, evolving growth, and rising operational sophistication. Key responsibilities span integrated marketing strategy and calendar management across brand, retail, digital, and lifecycle channels. The role owns customer acquisition efficiency and revenue outcomes, defines annual and quarterly priorities with measurement frameworks, and leads marketing inputs into company OKRs and business reviews. In retail and studio marketing, the director drives studio traffic and appointment conversion, builds new studio opening playbooks, and partners with operations and merchandising on launches and seasonal moments. Lifecycle and e-commerce ownership includes improving customer retention and LTV through segmentation and re-engagement, guiding paid media, SEO, email/SMS, influencer, content, organic social, and site merchandising strategies. The director leads and develops a senior marketing team across disciplines, sets operating rhythm and performance standards, maintains brand consistency across all touchpoints, and manages internal and external creative resources. Marketing operations and performance accountability includes owning the full marketing budget and forecasting, building measurement and attribution discipline, and reporting performance and recommendations to leadership on a recurring cadence. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in high-growth premium consumer or retail brands, has built and run full-stack marketing organizations, treats marketing as a connected system rather than channel silos, and combines commercial instincts with operational discipline and brand stewardship.
