Braze is the leading customer engagement platform, helping ambitious brands build engaging relationships with their customers through cross-channel messaging, journey orchestration, and AI-powered experimentation. This Senior Director role sits at the intersection of Product Marketing and Go-To-Market strategy, responsible for translating core product messaging into compelling field narratives that drive sales effectiveness.
You will lead a small, agile team of GTM Product Marketing Managers while remaining hands-on in the work yourself. Your primary responsibilities include: developing field-ready narratives by persona, segment, and funnel stage; owning the system through which products become legible to the GTM organization (plays, assets, channels); managing go-to-market strategy with technology and services delivery partners; leading GTM narrative for Braze's in-house services (support, onboarding, education); and partnering daily with Sales, Solutions Consultants, and Customer Success leadership.
You will translate complex technology into buyer language, coach the field to do the same, and use AI judiciously as a force multiplier. Success is measured against pipeline impact, product adoption, pipeline progression, and overall program outcomes—not activity. You'll spend meaningful time with customers, bringing insights back into messaging and roadmap conversations.
The ideal candidate is a messaging craftsperson who loves working with Sales and Customer Success, energized by field engagement rather than protective of distance. You're a strategic, thoughtful partner to Marketing while earning the field's trust as a subject-matter expert. You have strong positioning and messaging skills, understand complex B2B SaaS products, and can prioritize ruthlessly to focus team energy on initiatives that move the business needle. AI literacy and fluency in how AI is reshaping martech and marketing practice are essential. You hold yourself accountable to business outcomes and can clearly demonstrate the connection between your work and revenue impact.
