Lyra Health is seeking a Senior Director of External Communications & Thought Leadership to lead the company's external communications strategy and execution. Reporting to the VP of Communications and Corporate Affairs, you will oversee media relations, thought leadership initiatives, and corporate messaging for a mission-driven mental health care organization serving over 20 million people globally.
In this strategic leadership role, you will be a cross-functional operator who coordinates high-level communications strategy with senior stakeholders while executing on the ground. You will work closely with the executive team to build trust, drive alignment across functions, and develop nuanced, effective messaging that articulates Lyra's differentiation: clinical rigor, evidence-based care, and responsible innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing media relations and securing high-impact coverage
- Building and amplifying the platforms of Lyra's clinical experts
- Developing and executing thought leadership campaigns
- Crafting corporate messaging that resonates with key audiences
- Collaborating across brand, corporate affairs, executive communications, marketing, and business verticals
- Partnering with leadership to ensure clear, consistent communication of Lyra's mission and impact
You will need strong executive communication skills, the ability to translate complex healthcare and mental health concepts into compelling narratives, and experience in the health sector. A background in evidence-based mental health care or healthcare communications is preferred.
