Gong is a Revenue AI Operating System that helps over 5,000 companies worldwide understand their teams, automate sales workflows, and close more deals. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design, operate, and evolve the multi-cloud platform that powers Gong's production environment across AWS, GCP, and Azure, supporting hundreds of Java microservices and ML model-serving workloads.
You will own a multi-cloud, multi-region Kubernetes platform managed as code via Crossplane, Helm, and ArgoCD. You'll design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Argo Workflows that safely deploy and scale workloads across environments. You'll implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting across the stack using Datadog, Coralogix, Sentry, and Wiz, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain platform health.
Key responsibilities include solving high-scale production problems such as driving continuous platform and security upgrades across the fleet under real traffic without impacting live tenants, designing GitOps workflows where a single PR can safely impact production across clouds and regions, and advanced troubleshooting when production, staging, or dev environments break unexpectedly.
Your work directly impacts every engineer at Gong by providing the substrate they deploy on, affecting delivery speed and platform reliability. You'll influence the cost, reliability, and security of infrastructure underpinning the product customers pay for, and ensure the resilience of Gong's customer experience for thousands of revenue teams.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering with deep AWS experience and proven ownership of high-scale production systems; strong hands-on expertise with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) in production environments; fluency in Infrastructure as Code and GitOps (Terraform, ArgoCD) and CI/CD tooling; solid grasp of cloud security and architecture best practices; comfortable with monitoring and logging stacks; scripting fluency in Python, bash, or Node.js; Linux systems-level troubleshooting skills; and clear communication across R&D, Security, and Product teams. Bonus experience includes big-data infrastructure, Java/JVM services, or multi-cloud platforms.
