1Password is a market-leading enterprise password manager and Unified Access Management platform trusted by over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 companies to innovative AI firms. The company has surpassed $400M in ARR and was named to the Forbes Cloud 100 for four consecutive years. You will own the developer marketing lifecycle and growth strategy, turning developer awareness into active users. This hands-on role bridges the Developer Relations team's outreach efforts with conversion and retention, owning the complete journey from first touch through signup, installation, first success, and continued engagement. You will also own the Developer Hub as the primary conversion surface for developer adoption. Key responsibilities include: • Build capture-to-activation flows for leads from conferences, meetups, hackathons, webinars, and social channels, including QR codes, event-specific landing pages, follow-up sequences, and starter kits. • Collaborate with Developer Relations teammates to ensure every event, talk, and social moment has a clear call to action, tracking, and post-event nurture plan. • Convert social engagement (launches, threads, demos, community moments) into measurable traffic and signups through targeted landing pages and offers. • Design and run lifecycle programs across onboarding, activation, adoption, re-engagement, and expansion using email, in-product messaging, and community channels. • Define product activation milestones (e.g., first API call, successful build, integration) and segment messaging by behavior, role, language, technology stack, and source. • Own the Developer Hub's strategy, messaging, and conversion across homepage, product pages, community pages, and events pages. Run continuous A/B testing on copy, calls to action, page structure, and signup flows; partner with Design, Engineering, and Documentation to improve time-to-first-value. • Write or direct tutorials, quickstarts, sample applications, changelogs, and email content. Build reporting from first touch through activation and retention, and share findings to shape roadmap and messaging. • Early wins will include auditing the funnel, launching event follow-up and onboarding programs, and improving signup-to-activation, event-to-user, and Developer Hub conversion metrics. 1Password emphasizes a human-centric, security-first approach and is thoughtfully integrating AI across product development. The company is remote-first but expects travel for in-person engagement (frequency varies by role), including annual department offsites, team meetings, and industry events. The culture prioritizes collaboration, transparency, and excellence; the pace is fast and demanding. REQUIREMENTS: • 4+ years of experience in developer marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRM marketing, or growth marketing for a technical or developer-facing product. • Proven track record building lifecycle programs that improved activation and retention, with measurable results. • Hands-on experience with marketing automation and lifecycle tools (Customer.io, HubSpot, Braze, Iterable) and product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog). • Experience owning or substantially improving website conversion performance, including A/B testing. • Strong writing skills with an instinct for what developers find useful and credible. • Comfort working with engineers and developer advocates; familiarity with technical concepts (APIs, CLIs, SDKs, documentation). You do not need to be a developer, but should be able to try the product yourself. • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a remote, async-friendly team. • Preferred: Product-led growth, free-to-paid conversion, open source adoption, event and community programs, SQL, HTML, CSS, scripting, SEO, docs-led growth, or experience in developer communities (GitHub, Discord, Reddit, Hacker News, X, LinkedIn).
