Okta's Auth0 team is seeking a Senior Developer Advocate to drive developer engagement and adoption of their customer identity and access management (CIAM) platform. Auth0 secures over 100 million logins daily and is expanding rapidly. In this role, you will execute developer advocacy strategy, identify key channels and events to maximize developer engagement, and champion best practices within technical communities. You'll collaborate across Product, Engineering, Developer Content, and Marketing teams to advocate for developer needs and shape the overall developer experience. Key responsibilities include: Community Engagement: Cultivate relationships with developers and technical leaders through online platforms and in-person events (conferences, panels, meetups). Inspire developers and drive awareness of Auth0's platform and technology. Developer Advocacy: Represent developer needs and pain points within the product unit to improve developer experience. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams as a representative of the Developer-Led Growth team. Review early documentation, SDKs, and product capabilities from a content perspective. Bring developer feedback into the company to inform product development. Content Strategy & Creation: Develop and execute content strategies to reach and engage developers. Create high-quality technical content including blog posts, tutorials, documentation, videos, and code samples. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging communications for developers. Required qualifications: Technical background with hands-on experience; familiarity with identity standards and best practices; demonstrated passion for inspiring developer audiences and creating developer-focused content; ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across engineering, product, and marketing; experience with AI tooling and modern development practices. Preferred qualifications: Prior experience in developer advocacy, senior technical content, or technical customer success roles; knowledge of authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, LDAP); understanding of core security concerns (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption, XSS, XSRF); experience building web, mobile, and IoT applications with both front-end and back-end technologies.
