Super.com is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their high-performing Data Engineering team. This is a specialized role within their SWAT (SoftWare Adaptability Team), where you'll tackle the organization's most critical technical challenges across 6-26 week allocation cycles.
You will report directly to an Engineering Manager and work alongside senior data professionals to design, implement, and scale robust data solutions. The team is mature in its technical practices, leveraging Snowflake, dbt, Kafka, and Amplitude at scale, launching new experiments almost daily.
Key responsibilities include: designing efficient architectural recommendations and implementing them reliably; improving and overseeing code and infrastructure standards through documentation and peer review; collaborating with analytics, BI, finance, sales, marketing, and product teams to identify data needs and enable better decision-making; championing data governance as a core engineering workflow component; and evolving the data platform to support business growth and stability.
You'll need 5+ years of software/data engineering experience with expert-level Python and SQL proficiency. The ideal candidate demonstrates ownership in high-stakes situations, rapidly integrates new technologies, and has a track record of designing well-architected solutions for complex, large-scale data challenges. Deep expertise in database design, warehouse data modeling, and distributed systems is essential. Strong communication skills—translating intricate technical details for both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders—are critical. Predictive modeling and machine learning experience is a plus.
