Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor and quota-carrying technologist for enterprise customers. You will own the complete technical relationship from initial discovery through long-term adoption and account expansion, partnering closely with Account Executives and customer engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include leading technical discovery and proof-of-concepts across Cloudflare's Security, Networking, and Developer Platforms portfolios; owning customer onboarding and implementation with direct accountability for adoption and time-to-value; carrying variable quota tied to new business acquisition and account growth; and serving as the primary technical contact for C-level executives during Quarterly Business Reviews.
You will leverage AI-augmented workflows to automate routine tasks like RFP responses, sandbox provisioning, and telemetry monitoring, freeing time for high-value architectural design and strategic advisory work. The role requires translating platform capabilities into measurable business outcomes, proactively monitoring customer health scores, identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities based on usage data, and maintaining continuous relationships with key stakeholders throughout the customer lifecycle.
Ideal candidates bring experience in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Customer Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineer positions); broad technical expertise in web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation), cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture; proven success in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environments with strong understanding of SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles; and exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills capable of bridging technical implementation and C-suite business strategy. Experience with Cloudflare's AI stack and hands-on solution architecture is a plus.
